Week 1 · Demolition

A kitchen gets worse before it gets better.

This is one room in a 1920s Massachusetts colonial, on the first morning. Twelve weeks from here it is finished. You set the pace.

Week 3 · Framing & rough-in

The part you will never see again.

New framing, new wiring, new supply and waste. Everything that decides whether the rest of it lasts twenty years is buried in this week, behind a wall, where nobody photographs it.

Week 5 · Board & tape

The walls close.

Insulation, board, three coats of compound. This is the week it stops being a job site and starts being a room again.

Week 7 · Floor & stone

White oak, raw. Marble, set.

Boards laid before finish. Tile set with the spacers still in. Nothing here is hurried, because everything after it sits on top of it.

Week 9 · Cabinetry

Inset doors. Brass. Plywood tops waiting on stone.

Templated the day the boxes are level, fabricated off site, set the week after. The schedule you were given in week one still holds.

Week 12 · Handover

The price we signed is the price you paid.

Fixed-price contract, written schedule, one licensed team from demolition to handover. Come and tell us what your room should be.
